“The Transition, my memory and the Argentina lawsuit”. Mr. Rodolfo Marín Villa. Former Vice President of the Government of Spain

Juan Martín Llopis and Irma Arroyo, partners of the law firm Estudio de Abogados Martín Villa & Asociados and Grupo Pulchra, attended the informative breakfast that Mr. Rodolfo Martín Villa, former Vice President of the Government of Spain, gave at the Tribune of Europe’s Forum under the title “The Transition, my memory and the Argentina lawsuit”.

Martín Villa did not avail himself of the Spanish Amnesty Law of 1977, he took the risk of availing himself of the Argentinean justice to defend his honor and above all the most important period of our recent history “The Spanish Transition” of which he was one of its most distinguished actors.

The dismissal of the lawsuit against Rodolfo Martín Villa makes us legal professionals think that many aspects of international justice, the classification of crimes and extradition in this area should be changed, in order to avoid absurdities and Kafkaesque situations such as the one that has occurred in this case.

Kafkaesque situations such as the one the Spanish vice-president has suffered for seven years.
